Main jets motocross and enduro - power and precision fuel dosage

( number of products: 148 )

Motocross and enduro main jets (main jets) are responsible for the amount of fuel delivered to the engine at medium and high revs. The power, torque and operating temperature of the engine depend on them - therefore their selection is of key importance in every carburetor. At Bajamoto you will find main jets for Keihin and Mikuni carburetors used on KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Husqvarna, GasGas and many other motorcycles, from the ProX, All Balls, Athena and FM-Parts brands.

Why is the selection of the main jet so important?

The main jet is responsible for supplying fuel to the engine at full throttle. Too large a nozzle = rich mixture, smoking and flooding of the candle. Too little = lean mixture, overheating and risk of piston seizure. Proper selection allows you to achieve the ideal air-fuel ratio and full use of the engine's potential.

  • more power and torque in the medium and high rev range,
  • better response to gas and acceleration,
  • stable engine operation in all conditions,
  • possibility to adjust to exhaust, fuel and temperature,
  • lower risk of piston seizure or overheating.

Types of motocross and enduro main jets

  • Keihin jets – N100.606, 99101-393 – original standards used in FCR and PWK carburetors,
  • Mikuni nozzles – VM, TMX, TM – precisely made for 2T and 4T engines
  • Main jet sets – sets of various sizes for engine tuning
  • OEM Replacement nozzles – replacements with factory dimensions and flow

How to choose a main jet for a motorcycle?

Each motocross and enduro main jet at Bajamoto has a detailed description of the size (e.g. #165, #178), thread type and compatibility with the motorcycle model and carburetor. Examples:

  • ProX Main Jet Keihin FCR KTM EXC-F 250–500 2017–2024
  • Athena Main Jet Mikuni TMX Yamaha YZF 250/450 2015–2023
  • FM-Parts Main Jet Kit Keihin PWK 38 Enduro 2T

If you have changed the exhaust system, air filter or fuel - you will probably need to choose a larger or smaller nozzle. Therefore, it is worth having set of main jets and testing the settings for different track conditions.

How to care for the main jets and carburetor?

Use only clean fuel and filter - even microscopic dirt can clog the nozzle. Clean them gently with compressed air - do not use wire or needles, which may enlarge the hole. It is also worth checking the fuel level in the float chamber regularly, because changing it affects the operation of the main jet.

Precise adjustment with Bajamoto

Choose motocross and enduro main jets from brands that understand the needs of riders. With Keihin and Mikuni you will gain original precision, ProX and All Balls offer adjustment kits for tuning, and FM-Parts and Athena ensure durability and ease of installation. With Bajamoto you can adjust the mixture perfectly - because the power begins in the nozzle. 🏁
