Motocross and enduro needle valves - tightness and precise fuel metering

( number of products: 5 )

Motocross and enduro needle valve (needle valve / float valve) is an element that controls the fuel flow to the float chamber in the carburetor. This is what opens and closes the fuel flow, maintaining its proper level. A worn or leaking valve is the most common cause of carburetor overflow, uneven engine operation and difficult starting. At Bajamoto you will find Keihin and Mikuni needle valves for KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Husqvarna, GasGas motorcycles - from the All Balls, ProX, Athena and Tourmax brands.

Why is the needle valve so important?

The needle valve works based on a float in the carburetor - when the fuel level reaches the maximum, the valve closes the flow. If it doesn't stay tight, the fuel starts to overflow and the engine runs with too rich a mixture. In extreme cases, the cylinder may even be flooded or the oil in the crankcase may be diluted.

  • maintains the correct fuel level in the float chamber,
  • eliminates carburetor leaks and overflows,
  • improves engine start-up and stability,
  • reduces fuel consumption,
  • protects the engine against flooding and overheating.

Types of motocross and enduro needle valves

  • ProX valves – precisely made replacement valves with a coating resistant to E10 fuel,

How to choose a needle valve for a motorcycle?

Each motocross and enduro needle valve in Bajamoto has a detailed description of the seat diameter and application (Keihin / Mikuni). Examples:

  • All Balls Needle Valve Keihin FCR KTM EXC-F 250–500 2017–2024
  • ProX Float Valve Mikuni TMX Yamaha YZF 250/450 2015–2023
  • Athena Needle Valve Kit Honda CRF 250R/450R 2014–2023

When selecting a valve, pay attention to the carburetor type and seat diameter. In the case of carburetor regeneration, it is worth buying carburetor repair kit, which often includes a needle valve.

How to care for the needle valve?

Regularly check the condition of the valve every time you clean the carburetor. Dirt or fuel deposits cause it to not close properly. Use only clean fuel and filters - sand and water are the biggest enemy of this element. If the carburetor starts to leak, don't wait - replace the valve before the piston or cylinder is damaged.

Tightness and confidence with Bajamoto

Choose motocross and enduro needle valves from proven manufacturers. With All Balls and Tourmax you will regenerate the carburetor to factory condition, ProX and Athena will ensure durability and fuel resistance, and FM-Parts will provide the precision needed by a high-performance engine.
