New Hyperdryve line of pistons from Namura.

The new pistons for cross bikes, enduro and ATVs are designed to maintain high tensile strength up to 370° C, 50% higher than a cast piston. Hyperdryve is an exclusive line of pistons for 250 and 450 cc cross bikes, as well as select sport quads.

Hyperdryve pistons have undergone extensive testing. The piston (cast and hyperdryve) was soaked for 100 hours at 316°C to simulate operating conditions. After a 100-hour soak at 316°C, the particles in the cast piston thickened and loosened significantly, leading to a sharp drop in tensile strength. The particles in the Hyperdryve piston have only slightly coarsened, demonstrating the strength and durability of the material. Even after 100 hours of operation under extreme conditions, Hyperdryve pistons retain higher tensile strength.

All the changes made and technology developed have the effect of dramatically increasing the life of cross and enduro pistons for 2T and 4T engines. Using Namura Hyperdryve piston not only improves engine performance but also saves money. Better wear resistance allows for less frequent piston replacement on motorcycle and quad bikes.
