Motocross and enduro magneto pullers - precision tools for ignition system service

( number of products: 12 )
Magnet pullers are purpose-built workshop tools for MX/off-road motorcycles that let you remove flywheel magnets, ignition rotors and stator-related parts without damage. When you’re chasing a no-spark issue, replacing a stator, doing timing work or servicing the crank seal area, a proper puller prevents rounded threads, cracked magnets and bent crank ends that can turn a quick fix into an expensive rebuild. Choose a puller by exact fit and compatibility first: match the thread size and pitch to your specific flywheel/rotor (OEM vs aftermarket can differ), and confirm whether it’s an internal or external thread design. Look for hardened steel bodies and a smooth, heat-treated forcing screw to handle tight tapers without galling. Consider the tool type too—standard pullers for common bikes, or model-specific sets if you wrench on multiple MX/off-road machines. For maintenance, keep threads clean, apply a light grease to the forcing screw, and back the tool off straight to avoid cross-threading. Common mistakes include using a three-jaw puller on a flywheel face, prying behind the rotor, or hammering on the crank—these shortcuts can damage the stator, keyway and crank bearings. Replace the puller if threads are stretched, the forcing screw mushrooms, or the tool no longer seats square; also inspect the flywheel threads before installation, especially after muddy, pressure-washed rides. Tip: Before loading the puller, snug the forcing screw, then give the screw head a sharp tap—often the taper pops without excessive torque.
