Motocross and enduro ignition modules - precision, power and reliable ignition

( number of products: 6 )
Ignition modules are the control units that manage spark timing and, on many MX/off-road bikes, rev limiting and ignition curves. When your bike starts acting up—hard starting after a tip-over, random misfires under load, or a dead bike with a good plug and coil—this is one of the key parts to check. A healthy module helps your engine fire consistently so it pulls cleanly out of ruts, doesn’t bog on corner exits, and stays reliable deep in the woods where pushing back to the truck isn’t an option. When choosing an ignition module, start with exact fit and compatibility: match your make, model, year, and engine (and whether it’s carb or EFI), plus the correct connector style and mounting. Consider the type: OEM replacement for stock reliability, or performance/programmable units if you want different maps for sand, hardpack, or slick roots. Pay attention to environmental protection—sealed housings and solid potting matter for water crossings, pressure washing, and mud. Finally, think serviceability: whether it supports map switches, how it handles sensor inputs, and if installation requires re-setting TPS or relearning procedures on certain bikes. Common mistakes are mixing model years that look identical but use different pickups or wiring, and chasing a “no spark” issue without checking grounds, kill switch, sidestand/clutch interlocks, and stator output first. Replace the module if you see intermittent cut-outs when hot, corrosion in connectors, cracked casing, or repeated failures after water intrusion. Tip: Before ordering, compare your old module’s part number and plug pin layout, then clean and dielectric-grease the connectors to prevent future misfires.
