Shift levers for motocross and enduro - durability and precision

( number of products: 288 )
Gear shift levers are the controls you feel every lap and every climb. In MX/enduro/off-road riding they take constant hits from rocks, ruts, and tip-overs, and they also need to work with bulky cross boots. A fresh, correctly sized lever restores precise upshifts and downshifts, prevents missed gears when you’re standing in attack position, and helps avoid getting stuck in a gear when the trail gets technical. When choosing a shift lever, start with exact fit and compatibility for your bike (model/year and engine family), because spline count, length, and offset vary a lot. Pick the right material and construction: forged aluminum is light and responsive, steel is tough for hard enduro abuse, and folding tips reduce damage in crashes. Consider riding conditions and boot setup—longer tips can help with stiff boots, while compact levers reduce snagging in deep ruts. Check adjustability and hardware quality, and plan basic maintenance: keep the pivot/tip clean, inspect the pinch bolt, and use the correct torque so it doesn’t slip on the shaft. Common mistakes are running a bent lever that slowly chews up the shift shaft splines, or over-tightening the pinch bolt until it cracks. Replace the lever if it’s loose on the spline, the tip is worn smooth, the folding mechanism binds, or you feel inconsistent engagement between gears. Tip: After installing, set the lever height with your cross boots on—your toe should slip under the tip without lifting your whole foot off the peg.
