Elbow protectors for cross

( number of products: 19 )
Elbow protectors are a key piece of MX/enduro/off-road body armor, built to take the hit when you low-side in ruts, clip a tree, or wash the front in rocks. They reduce impact to the elbow joint and forearm, help prevent painful abrasions, and add confidence when you’re charging in a jersey and pants or layering under a jacket on colder rides. Good elbow protection also stabilizes the arm so you can keep control on the bars when the trail gets rough. When choosing, start with fit and compatibility: they should stay put through full bend/extension without cutting circulation, and they must work under your jersey, with chest protector, and with or without a pressure suit. Pick the right construction for your riding: soft viscoelastic pads for comfort and movement, or hard-shell caps for higher-speed impacts and sharp rocks. Check ventilation and strap layout for long motos, and choose materials that handle sweat and repeated washing; removable liners and anti-slip silicone grippers are a plus. Common mistakes are buying protectors that are too loose (they rotate on impact) or too bulky (they restrict movement and you stop wearing them). Replace them if the shells are cracked, padding stays compressed, straps lose elasticity, or the stitching starts to pull—especially after a hard crash. Tip: Set straps snug with your arm slightly bent, then do 10 push-ups—if they don’t migrate, the fit is right.
