Motocross and enduro brake fluids - precision, safety and resistance
( number of products: 15 )Brake fluid is the hydraulic lifeline of your MX/enduro/off-road braking system. In this category you’ll find fluids designed to keep lever feel consistent, prevent fade on long descents, and protect seals and internal passages from corrosion. Fresh, correct-spec fluid helps solve the two big rider headaches: a spongy lever after hard riding and brakes that go soft when the fluid overheats in slow, technical sections.
Choose brake fluid first by compatibility with your system and the spec your bike calls for (DOT 3/4/5.1 glycol-based vs mineral oil). Never mix DOT and mineral oil—master cylinder and caliper seals can swell and fail. Next, look at boiling points: higher dry/wet boiling points handle race pace, deep ruts, and clutch-heavy enduro where heat builds fast. Also consider moisture resistance and service interval; DOT fluids absorb water over time, lowering boiling point, so plan regular flushes if you ride in wet mud, pressure wash often, or store the bike in humid conditions.
Common mistakes are topping up without bleeding (trapping old, contaminated fluid) and using an opened bottle that has already absorbed moisture. Replace fluid when lever feel changes, the color turns dark, or after any brake service that opened the system. Check for weeping around banjo bolts, cracked reservoir diaphragms, and pad drag that can overheat fluid fast.
Tip: Only open a new bottle for bleeding, and discard leftovers—brake fluid starts pulling moisture from the air immediately.
