Brake caliper pins for motocross and enduro - smooth operation and effective braking

( number of products: 14 )
Brake caliper pins are the small but critical hardware that keep your brake pads located and sliding correctly inside the caliper on MX/enduro/off-road motorcycles. If a pin is worn, bent, or seized, you’ll feel it fast: uneven pad wear, dragging brakes that overheat on long downhills, or a vague lever that kills confidence when you’re charging in goggles, jersey, and knee guards. Fresh pins help restore consistent pad movement, reduce squeal, and bring back predictable bite and release in mud, sand, and hardpack. When choosing a brake caliper pin, start with exact fit and compatibility: match the bike model/year and the specific caliper and pad shape, and confirm thread type and length. Next look at material and finish—stainless or corrosion-resistant coated pins last longer if you ride wet forests or wash the bike often. Consider your riding conditions: aggressive off-road riding and frequent water crossings call for better corrosion resistance and more frequent service. Finally, think maintenance: pins should clean up easily, and you should be able to torque them correctly without stripping. Replace pins if you see grooves where the pads ride, damaged threads, rust pitting, or if the pin won’t slide out smoothly during a pad change. Also check the pad spring/clip and the caliper boots—sticking pads are often a system issue, not just “bad pads”. Tip: During pad swaps, clean the pin and apply a very light film of high-temp brake grease only where the pad rides—keep grease off friction surfaces.
