Oils for 4T motocross and enduro engines - protection, performance and engine durability

( number of products: 176 )
4T Engine Oils are made for MX/enduro/off-road four-stroke engines that live on high revs, heat, dust and frequent clutch work. The right oil keeps the top end protected, stabilizes oil pressure, and helps the wet clutch hook up consistently when you’re slipping it through ruts or technical climbs. It also reduces valve train wear, cuts foaming under hard landings and whoops, and supports cleaner shifting so you can focus on your line—not on a fading gearbox feel. When choosing 4T oil, match the viscosity to your bike and conditions: lighter grades flow faster for cold starts, heavier grades cope better with sustained heat and sand. Check the specification for wet-clutch compatibility (JASO MA/MA2) and pick the base type to fit your service habits—quality mineral for frequent changes, semi-synth for balanced use, full synthetic for maximum stability under racing loads. Consider how you ride: short, stop-and-go enduro heats oil with clutch abuse, while fast MX stresses shear stability and gearbox protection. Common mistakes are running automotive oils with friction modifiers, stretching change intervals, or ignoring the filter and screen. Replace oil sooner if it comes out dark and thin, smells burnt, or the clutch starts to grab or slip. After deep water crossings, inspect for milky oil and change immediately to prevent corrosion. Tip: Change oil and filter after every 5–10 hours of hard riding, and always warm the engine briefly before draining so contaminants come out with the oil.
